Amy Winehouse' former boyfriend was today cleared of raping a woman while she slept in his bed.
Reg Traviss, 35, walked free from Southwark Crown Court after a jury acquitted him of twice raping the 27-year-old at his flat in Marylebone, central London, in the early hours of New Year's Eve last year.
Reg said the pair had consensual sex after a night out drinking together. The unnamed woman denied that she had consented, and accused Traviss of saying, 'I've always wanted to do this to you' as he sexually assaulted her.
Traviss closed his eyes and bowed his head as he heard the verdict.
While leaving the dock, he thanked Judge Deborah Taylor and hugged his family and friends.
Leaving court he said he hoped to fall in love again after losing Amy Winehouse.
