Katy Perry and her date Riff Raff wore a modern, Versace interpretation of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake's iconic matching denim outfits to the VMAs on Sunday, and it was by all accounts the greatest fashion moment of the evening. Katy admitted that her look was indeed inspired by Britney as well as her "love for nostalgia" and her "Tumblr addiction." But what did Britney Jean herself think of the homage?
Well, obviously, she loved it. The woman has eyes, after all. When Katy tweeted to tell Britney that she did her "best impression" and
hoped she approved, Britney responded by telling her she "looked amazing." And she did! Though perhaps Riff Raff's outfit could have been improved by the addition of a denim fedora.
