India's Over The Top Rail Transportation

Warning: This image may cause severe discomfort for Fire Marshals (or any compassionate human being).

Okay, I know what you’re thinking: “Is there really a train under there? And, if so, can it even leave the station? Is that legal?” Unfortunately, the answer is yes, yes, and (sigh) yes. In India, ridiculously overcrowded trains are the normal.
India is famous for overcrowded trains with people hanging on and off the side, but it happens in other countries too. But don’t worry if you are traveling to one of these countries. Most of the trains are perfectly normal.
Originally I thought most of these picture were from india, but, some were actually people traveling for a religious festival in bangladesh. You can see from the pictures that some are wearing muslim outfits and hats.

However, African countries are fast catching-up with this trend of riding on and off the sides of the trains. Picture below shows passengers rode on the outside of a crowded train in Nairobi, Kenya, during a minibus-driver strike. Operators and drivers were on strike over alleged police corruption.

This blog is to show curiosity and unbelievable crowds in Indian/Bangladesh trains at various times. It does not reflect regular state of past or present times of Indian trains. The author has no intent of showing any bad or down for India :-).This is just to show curiosity of unbelievable situations and to show how huge crowd can be in Indian trains.
