On Tuesday, John Onose, a father-of-six children and a former councillor of Sapele Local Government Council, allegedly lured the KG two pupil to a bush in Sapele, and raped her. He was arrested after the mother of the girl, Onome Ojakovo, discovered that she was bleeding from her private part and her womb was pulling out.
The girl is currently receiving treatment at the Sapele Central Hospital while Onose has been arrested by officers attached to the Sapele Police Station, while the result of the medical test is being awaited. Onose was once an aide to the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Monday Igbuya, but the latter has since dissociated himself from him.
