It all started when Nick, 34, shared a photo of his New York sneaker closet for his one million Instagram followers on Monday.

Chris soon pointed out to Nick that he too has multiple shoe closets across the country, as he shared two further photos of his Stateside collections.
Nick does still have one-up on his rival though, as last September the star wore a pair of shoes to the America's Got Talent finale worth a cool $2 million, which he claimed to be the most expensive shoes in the world.
The TV personality's pricey loafers were courtesy of Tom Ford and featured '14,000 full-cut round white diamonds set onto white gold, with a total carat weight of 340 carats.'
I can do better: Chris was quick to show off his entire room dedicated to his shoes at his new $4.5 million home in the San Fernando Valley

Women's Wear Daily reported that the jaw-dropping pair took more than a year to create, with jeweler Jason Arasheben tasked with adding the bling to the loafers.
'Not very often do I get a request for the most expensive shoes in the world,' the jeweller explained. 'When Nick approached me last year, he said he wanted to make history and be so over-the-top. He wanted to set a new standard in diamonds.'
'"How can we make the most expensive pair of shoes in the world and make this finale special?" he asked me. … It took four months alone to source all of the diamonds and create them the same size to make the shoe.'
